Question:

Ovulation tests?

If you tested yourself at 8pm every night and you got a positive could you still get pregnant if you tried the next evening at about 8pm. A positive test is supposed to indicate that you will ovulate 24 hours later and then the egg is supposed to live for 24 hours. But is it possible to get a negative test if you do one at 8pm, but then you could be positive an hour after that? In which case you could have been fertile for 24 hours before you get the positive test the next night.

  1. It is true that you could be picking up your LH surge at the end of it and so the time window goes down some.  You really need to be checking your cervical fluid to make sure that you start BDing when it turns watery or eggwhite.  That way you know you have your ovulation window covered and not by just the OPK's.  I use a free website called www.fertilityfriend.com and it has helped me get preggo once already and I'm trying for another!  Good luck!
