Ovulation while on birth control? PCOS?

hello ladies I am on the birth control Nuva Ring. Last night I had some slight spotting and I have been having some kind of ovulation pain. I may have PCOS but haven't received my results yet. My doctor asked that i lose weight because I may have the PCOS so I have lost a total of 20lbs, so I should ovulate but I thought you don't ovulate on birth control. Any advice? has anyone experienced this?

Nuva Ring should prevent ovulation.  If you are trying to conceive, you need to be off of birth control.  If you have been using it correctly, what you are feeling must be gas or something, not ovulation.

You normally won't ovulate on BC. I don't have PCOS but I will be getting my test results in about 3 hours since i have not had a full period only some spotting since April. I was told my hormones are very far off.

my experience with pcos is that i dont ovulate, thats the whole problem...

are you sure you're ovulating?
