  2. I learned that Shakespeare spelled his own name 14 different ways. Spelling then was not standardized as it is today.

  3. Spelling was pretty fluid back then - even for the great bard.

    He variously spelt his own name Shaksper, Shakespeer, Shaksperr etc.
