With Jaaskelainen out with a thigh injury since New Year’s Eve, Bogdan has had to step up for the Trotters. The 24-year-old was blamed for the 3-0 loss to Manchester United on Saturday but Coyle felt there wasn’t much Bogdan could have done.

The Trotters boss admitted he faced a tough decision of who to play in goal since Jaaskelainen was set to return for next weekend. Coyle said while speaking to reporters:
“How Adam has done in this run of games shows he is destined for a huge career. A lot of that credit has to go to Jussi.
He has helped to develop him. He has worked with him every day and ensured he reaches the same level he trains at. We are fortunate in that respect because it means we have two terrific goalkeepers.”
He felt the stopper had taught Bogdan a lot, working with him almost every day to ensure he was as good as him in terms of goalkeeping. “That was a freak goal. A gust of wind took it.
