Manchester United’s http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Robin-van-Persie-c31380 should be awarded the title of being PFA’s Player of the Year.
The Dutch international has been playing some of the best football of his life and has already managed to score a very impressive twenty six goals this season.
Apart from that, the player has helped his team get back on tract and has helped them go from being fifth in the league, to leap forging Tottenham Hotspur, to claim the third spot for themselves.
Owen, when talking about Van Persie and just how he is the easiest option when it comes to picking the PFA Player of the Year is quoted to have said: "Player of the season so far? I went for Robin Van Persie. Stand out winner in my opinion.’’
The forward then went on to admit that he had been impressed by a number of teams this year and when trying to short list a team to be the team of the year, he is reported o have added:
''Great result yet again from Newcastle today. Team of the year? There are a few candidates but they are my pick so far.”
"Newcastle, Swansea, Norwich, Spurs in that order would be my top 4 teams of the season so far.”
In the end, the striker went on to nominate Newcastle United’s Tim Krul to be the Young player of the Year, given how his performances had been rather exceptional all season long.
"Young player of the Year? Tough one to call. Need to be age 23 or under. I went for Tim Krul.’’
In the end, the stringer finally revealed just who he thought would make up his team of the year, but given how he wasn’t allowed to nominate any Manchester United player, he came up with the following team.
