Owen to start for United?

Given the temperamental form of Dimitar Berbatov, would Alex Ferguson be better off starting with Michael Owen for tonight's Manchester derby?

Quite possibly. The game will be fiery,tempestuous and hate-fuelled. Berbatov's reserved manner is not ideal for such occasions. Owen has his faults, but he will know exactly what a game like this means to the fans.

He played well against Hull on Saturday, and United will only see the best of him if he starts games regularly.Tonight is tailor-made for him, whether or not Fergie agrees, however, is a different matter.
