Manchester United forward http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Michael-Owen-c25355 claims that he will not drop down into lower divisions and will instead try to play for a Premiership even if the Red Devils let him go.
The former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 International is arguably one of the most recognized faces in the country, owing to his exploits, which catapulted him to fame in his fledgling career.
Starting with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Argentina-c2841.
The much younger attacker then, picked up the ball at the edge of the half-way line, skipped his way past the entire Argentine defence before eventually putting it into the net.
His status as an elite footballer earned him a coveted switch to Real Madrid, but he failed to establish himself at the Bernabeu and has also been in decline due to injuries.
A spell with Newcastle United did little to convince the world that he was still a player capable of playing at the highest level. However things changed quickly for Owen as he was signed by Sir http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alex-c4752 Ferguson in 2009.
The veteran Scot made a huge gamble on the player in terms of fitness, but surely in terms of goals; he has been a worthwhile investment.
A hat-trick in the UEFA Champions League final, a goal in the League Cup final and a match winner in injury against Manchester City are just of the highlights in Owen’s United career and according to the man himself, he won’t leave Premier League even if
the Reds do let him go.
"As long as I'm wanted at a good level I will play on, but part of that is in my hands and part isn't. I'll wait to see what the manager says on that. If it happens, great, we'll talk about it. If not, I'll try to stay at a high level. I wouldn't drop out
of the Premier League.”
He also added that he might take up a role in the media, just like former teammate Gary Neville.
"I want to stay at the top level or look at other markets, but I have four children and they're settled in school and that's something to weigh up. There are a couple of possibilities when I've finished and media might interest me. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Gary-Neville-c14447 is a breath
of fresh air and has almost encouraged me to do it,” he said.
United take on QPR next, but Owen is still sidelined, although he has resumed training at Carrington.
