Question:

Owl at Oxford Station, UK - What is it there for?

If you stand and look at the departure boards at Oxford, then turn around and look in the "rafters", there is an owl up there! Is it just to scare away other birds etc? The conspiracy theorists think it has a camera in it's eye! Any ideas?

  1. Were you really bored?  I can't imagine why you would be staring into the rafters at Oxford Station in the first place.

    Still, your question's a hoot!!!

  2. is it so you know your way to tootin?

  3. Dummy owls are known to scare away pidgeons and others smaller birds, however, they need to be moved about every so often otherwise the birds catch on and take no notice of it.

  4. I work their, it because we have a lot of pigeons fly in and an owl is supposed to scre them, as you can see by the plop plops everywhere it doesnt work!
