Own a dance studio & part-time racehorse training!?

I want to own/rent a dance studio when I'm out of colllege, but I also want to train Thoroughbreds in my spare time....I know a guy who's a racehorse trainer and HE works part time at an office in the city, so I know it's possible. (He feeds in the early morning before his office job then after work he comes back to the barn to clean stalls and work with the horses....) I know it would be a busy life, but it's one I want more than anything....especially since I can set my own hours at the studio. Does anyone think this CAN'T work?

  1. if you dont have a full staff working for you you MUST be there every morning.its not just a fun little thing that you can show up to when you feel like it

  2. You have alot of dreams don't you lol? Anything is possible if you set your mind to it =]]. I've got  alot too, want to be a Jockey, psychiatrist, or a fitness trainer :P

  3. Anything is possible if you set your mind to it.  I'm not going to say it would be easy.  As you already said it would be a busy life.  Just be careful that you don't get yourself overwhelmed.  Do you plan on training your own horses or training horses for other people?  If you decide to train horses for other people it might cause problems as most owners will pick a full-time trainer over a part-time trainer.
