Owner Paul Reddam – how his stable expanded over the years and some of his best runners
Over the course of time, Paul Reddam has become one of the most significant owners in the world of horse-racing. He has earned recognition and has owned some of the best runners that the sport of horse-racing has seen.
Reddam’s interest in the sport started when he was attending the races at Windsor Raceway, after that he became an owner. He bought his first Thoroughbred in 1988, and expanded his stable in Kentucky since then.
Reddam has owned some brilliant horses, including Wilko, who was trained by Jeremy Noseda. In 2004, the son of Awesome Again earned his owner a win in the Breeders’ Cup, when he prevailed in the Grade 1 Breeders' Cup Juvenile over 1 1/16 miles.
Red Rocks was another one of the gifted runners, that Reddam owned and his talent came out on the track several times. Trained by Brian Meehan, the son of Galileo claimed the Group 3 Gordon Richards Stakes in Sandown.
The Irish bred runner claimed the Grade 1 Man O' War Stakes at Belmont Park in 2008, where he defeated the Steven Asmussen trained, Curlin.
The highlight of his career was when he triumphed in the Breeders' Cup Turf in 2006, when he was mounted by jockey, Frankie Dettori and finished the 1 ½ mile race in 2 minutes and 27.32 seconds, with victory over the Graham Motion trained, Better Talk
Now.
Without a doubt, the star of his stable is the Doug O’Neill trained I’ll Have Another, who won the first two legs of the U.S. Triple Crown and looked strong enough to win the third one.

He landed an immaculate victory over Bodemeister in the Grade 1 Kentucky Derby at Churchill Downs.
The son of Flower Alley went on to claim the Grade 1 Preakness Stakes and defeated, Bodemeister again.
Achieving the Triple Crown looked like a realistic dream, but the talented three-year-old bay colt sustained an injury which ended his career and jeopardised his chances to win the Triple Crown for the first time, since Affirmed in 1978.
On 7th July, 2012, the Ben Cecil trained, Quiet Oasis, earned Reddam another graded victory in the Grade 2 Royal Heroine Stakes at Betfair Hollywood Park, where she was mounted by Mario Gutierrez.
