Calling owners of this bloodline. I have a mare who is out of Loganlea Erco (Grand sire Lars Ircoe. GG sire Irco Mena Marco Polo & Imerius line). I was wondering how other people found the temperament in this breed line.?

On her mum's side she is a spotted so really rather "hot" in all respects.

How are you getting on with yours?

Any coments based on experiance regarding this blood line would be very helpful.

  1. My friend has a mare with KOD bloodlines and she is superb. She is brave and bold xc, her flatwork is fantastic and she is good to handle. The only thing I would say is that there is a slight element of stubborness to her, which is also evident in her son! But apart from that, they are fantastic!

  2. I don't know about the dams bloodline but, we had a 16.2 liver chestnut mare named Holly by King of Diamonds in the yard where I worked and boarded my horse. One word NIGHTMARE!!!!

She used to turn her back to you everytime you went into her stable, try to crush you when you picked out her feet, charge at you in the field, attempt to jump out of the areana when being schooled, the vet had to almost fully sidated her for cliping (she still almost killed us) and to many other things to list.

Her owner who I bought my horse  off is a very expierienced rider and horse women. The horse had no fear of anything, a really bad attitude and was dangerous when in season. I have heard of other people having these problems too. Her owner had to sell her in the end after trying everything with no real success.

I really hope you aren't having the same problems, GOOD LUCK if you are you will need it!

EDIT: I forgot she was a wind sucker too!
