Oxford to Maidstone by Train?

I'll be travelling to Maidstone by train sometime soon. Can anyone tell me if there's a route I can take without travelling via London? I'm partially disabled so don't want to have to use the London Underground if I can help it.

Yes, you can, but it involves numerous changes. The standard search engines for UK railway journeys want to send you Oxford - Paddington - Underground -Victoria - Maidstone which is just what you don't want.

1.You could go Oxford - Reading - Redhill which, say you leave around 10am, would be 10.05 dep Oxford, arr Reading 10.27,(change) dep 10.34, arr Redhill 11.38.(change)

2. Then Redhill - Tonbridge - Paddock Wood - Maidstone

Times are dep Redhill 12.07, arr Tonbridge 12.36 (change) dep 12.46 arr Paddock Wood 12.54 (change) dep 13.06, arr Maidstone Barracks 13.29.

There are plenty of other trains, depending  on the time of day you wish to travel but all require this sort of number of changes. I've given you the website for thetrainline.com below. If you want to use it, you will have to break the journey in two, as I have above, otherwise all you will get will be the London options
