The 18 year old Arsenal winger is ready to make an impact on the international stage for the Three Lions as he showed small glimpses of his explosive ability in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899 in their opening match of the
European Championships...
Oxlade-Chamberlain has come out and expressed his desire to give his 100 percent for the England national team cause at the European Championships. Chamberlain was picked by Roy Hodgson for his immense displays for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 in the
recently concluded English Premier League season and he justified his manager’s faith in him to some extent by doing well against France.
The Arsenal man did not get many chances to showcase his pace and trickery but he did work hard for the team and adopted the England work ethic to keep France at bay for large parts of the match. England did have the best chance
of the match to open the scoring early on through http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/James-Milner-c17706, a chance that was wasted by the Manchester City man.
It was http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Samir-Nasri-c32360 equalized for the French national team. For the rest of the match, England were content with defending just outside their penalty area
and Chamberlain had to become a part of that process by sacrificing his offensive talents and tracking back the French right back Debuchy.
Oxlade-Chamberlain stated, "I'm only 18 and any chance I get I'll try to take with two hands. I'm learning from the boys. There is a lot of competition for places. I'm sure there'll be squad rotation as we've got the players to
do it and obviously there are a lot of physical demands from game to game.”
He added, "Whether I keep my place isn't for me to say. I'll keep working hard in training and, if I do get the call again, I'll give it my all. I was surprised to play against France. But having been picked for the squad in the
first place, I had to expect that maybe I'd get the call and had to make sure I was ready.”
