What are the pros and cons of both Oxygenated and Reverse Osmosis water?

  1. Oxygenating water is used to oxidize impurities in water. ie. iron, minerals, ect. and is therefore a chemical process. Oxygenation is one of the first methods of water filtration/purification. Oxygenating will eliminate some microbial/bacterial problems but not 100%.

    reverse osmosis is a mechanical filtration at less than or equal to 0.1 microns. (very small). and uses a membrane to do so. Unfortunately the yeild of a reverse osmosis system is very low and very costly. Reverse osmosis water has very little or no taste, tastes like distilled water.

    bottled water that is "reverse osmosis filtered" usually has minerals and salt added back into the water to give it taste. Neither oxygenation nor reverse osmosis would make a questionable water source potable.
