Question:

Oyster Card Question - Child?

Hello!

I have a few questions about the Tube!

It says that an Oyster single fare is £1.20, what exactly does this mean.

I want to travel from Barkingside to Waterloo.

So I have to get the Central Line then Waterloo and City line, does this count as two fares as I have swiped in and out twice or is this just one single fare?

Thanks =)

  1. if you change lines like district to jubilee. dont swipe as that its just wasting money. zone 1 is expensive to travel and cost 70p for a single journey. also just buy a travel card for £2 which gives you all of the zones and free buses. to get this. goto a local newsagent or to those machines with the oyster thing.

  2. Transport for London should answer your questions

  3. TfL says Central Line to Stratford, then Jubilee Line to Waterloo. That would be a single journey since you never leave the Underground or swipe out until you get to Waterloo.
