Oysters with pearls? .?

I am on Vacation in St Pete Florida. We are located by one of the beaches off the Gulf Of Mexico..Are they're any osysters in that area? my friend and i wanted to go pearl hunting but couldn't find any information on the web for it...well?

  1. no not in that area and oysters are usally very deep and far off shore.


  2. I just went there last summer!! i was at the Alden or somethin...and i never saw any.
