The http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Germany-c2904 international claims his side’s previous defeat to the Black Yellows this term will not affect them as they look forward to win their 10th Champions League trophy
Real Madrid attacking midfielder Mesut Ozil has stressed that his side is not afraid of going into their UEFA Champions League tie with Borussia Dortmund. Jurgen Klopp’s men played the La Liga winners at the start of the season
and registered a 2-1 home victory and a 2-2 stalemate in the Bernabeu.
However, the playmaker is positive about his side’s chances as he feels they can win Europe’s elite cup competition this term. He claimed that they respect the BVB but do not fear them. On the other hand, he stated that they have
immense quality in the squad and can win against any team.
"We have respect, but no fear. We know about our qualities and can beat any opponent," the 24-year-old was quoted as saying in an interview.
As a result, Los Blancos have set their sights on the European competition and have worked hard in order to achieve it this year. Therefore, the Spanish side will try to see off the challenge posed by the German outfit. He said
that they know the Bundesliga side’s tactics inside out as they have already played them twice earlier this term.
"It's our goal to win the Champions League. We have worked towards it for the whole year. Therefore, we'll do everything to see off Dortmund in both encounters,” he added.
"After the group stages, there are no secrets anymore between the two teams," he mused.
"I come from the Ruhr area, and therefore I'm happy to be able to play the semi-finals so close to my home. I always enjoy playing in Germany," he stated.
