Ozil’s father confident that the German attacking midfielder will not be frozen out – Football News
Father of the Real Madrid youngster, Mustafa Ozil, has stated that despite reports of a massive summer exodus, his son, Mesut Ozil, certainly has his future secured with the Los Blancos.
With the imminent departure of Jose Mourinho, a new managerial coup looks well on the cards of the Spanish giants Real Madrid and a handful of managers have been linked to the hot seat at the Santiago Bernabeu.
The speculation surrounding the vacant managerial post at the Spanish giants has more often circulated around PSG coach Carlo Ancelotti and as it happens so often, a call from Real Madrid seldom goes un-answered,
considering the glittering history of the 9-time European Champions.
A change in management is often accompanied by a massive change in the players at the club’s disposal and so is feared when a new manager is appointed at the Santiago Bernabeu based club.
Despite the entire speculation, Mustafa Ozil is confident that his son would not come under the knife if such possibility shapes up to become a reality.
“Özil is very happy in Madrid," Mustafa Ozil told Marca.com. "He loves the club, the city and the fans, which have in all this time been really affectionate towards him. In that way we are really happy. Mesut
feels very much at home playing at Real Madrid."
Ozil enjoyed another successful year in terms of personal stats this term with nine league goals and 13 league assists; but his father believes that the Turkish born midfielder can become even better with age
being at his side.
“Right now he's playing at a great level, but I think he can still improve," he continued. "He is only 24, with a long way to go. I'm proud of what he has achieved so far, but he can do even better.”
Ozil and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Cristiano-Ronaldo-c9629 have formed a deadly partnership at the helm of the Real Madrid attack for the past few seasons, the pair becoming the most successful attacking duo in the history of La Liga.
No two players in the total history of the competition have ever been involved in so many goals together and the lethal attacking combination has won so much silverware for the Madrid based club in the past few
years.
