P-301 onkyo pre-amp

Question

I have a sony LBT-ZX6 sony hi-fi stereo it has no out-put jacks for a amp so i got a onkyo p-301 pre-amp i need to know whitch ac plug in the back of the pre-amp i use unswitched or switched,Also my sony has a cd and 2 tape decks besides the tuner when i plug my sony into the pre-amp and then run my rca cables from the pre-amp to the amp and then connect the speaker wires in to the amp and then out from amp to my speakers will this work.
