P. Chandraj Patnaik continued his winning run in the Boy’s Singles U13 qualifying round and reached into the third stage after showing exit to Sisodiya Jayant at the All India Sub Junior Ranking Badminton Tournament on Monday, October 22, in India.
The aggressive Chandraj, who has been putting in extra effort to improve his skills for the last few months, put up stunning show of attacking and positive badminton and won the match in just 15 minutes.
Chandraj was quite composed on court and he remained quick in taking the bird early from all areas and ultimately grabbed victory in a commanding fashion by finishing up the set in straight games with a dominating margin on score board.
On the contrary, Jayant could not put up strong show as he lost his focus on crucial stages in the match and eventually bowed down against his in-form country-mate without creating a strong impact on the board.
In the first set, the in-form Chandraj delivered a phenomenal performance as he played with impressive precision from staring rallies.
Chandraj showed that he has obtained top class skills in the arena by showing remarkable skills and ultimately remained successful in getting a strong domination in the arena.
The impressive Chandraj was in commanding position all the way to take a convincing lead until the end of first part.
On the other hand, Jayant failed to get stronger after the one-minute interval as he lost his focus in the arena.
Chandraj remained consistent in employing powerful strokes in targeted areas and took the opening game with a comfortable margin of 21-12.
Jayant was once again in problem in the following set when he faced a severe treatment from his rival who played with incredible speed.
Until the end of first part, the lofty Chandraj remained aggressive and played attacking badminton with a lot of variations in his shots stayed in lead on the board.
Jayant could not put up strong show as his rival Chandraj was flawless on court as he grabbed the set with a comfortable 21-13 margin on the board.
The impressive Chandraj managed to win this qualifying round battle in straight sets with a killing margin of 21-12 and 21-13.
