I enrolled on a P.G.C.E program for the academic year 2007/2008, and successfully completed my first practice but failed to complete my second practice due to sickness.

I successfully claimed mitigating circumstances and the University has allowed me to re-take my second practice, will I receive any funding from the T.D.A for this re-take period

  1. I don't know if the TDA will fund you this second time around, get in contact with them ASAP. failing that, you can apply to student loans Glasgow. and ask the university/learning centre you are taking your course for any in-house bursaries that they may have available, most of them provide these because you are worth a lot of money to them on enrolling on the PGCE. They will gain a lot of money in you achieving this valuable teaching Qualification from the funding council in achievement bonuses. Are you working in a college/school or private learning centre at the moment? if so, you should ask management to enrol you via their staff development programme. Thats how i gained my PGCE, I was working in a F.E college full-time Lecturing and studied For 2yrs Via a Newport University/Coleg-Powys Franchise etc.

Good Luck anyway, I hope you succeed and become a top learning facilitator.
