P&S Is this a senior moment?

A STUNNING SENIOR MOMENT

Apparently, a self-important college freshman attending a recent football game took it upon himself to explain to a senior citizen sitting next to him why it was impossible for the older generation to understand his generation.

'You grew up in a different world, actually an almost primitive one' the student said, loud enough for many of those nearby to hear. 'The Young people of today grew up with television, jet planes, space travel, man walking on the moon. Our space probes have visited Mars. We have nuclear energy, ships and electric and hydrogen cars, cell phones. Computers with light-speed processing... And more .'

After a brief silence the senior citizen responded as follows:

'You're right, son.

We didn't have those things when we were young ... so we invented them. Now, you arrogant little ****, what are you doing for the next generation ?' The applause was amazing

Has the possibility of inventing new, new things reached the saturation point? I don't think so. There is always room for new, new inventions & not all the youngsters are good only finding fault with the previous generation.I'm sure there will be more & more ground-breaking inventions in future.

The young one needn't have been that rude nor the senior taken it too seriously! Sense of humor is missing in both & me too here!

Love it! Yes we invented them and many of us know how to use them too. As we are still alive on this earth, we also have them and are much wiser and smarter because of our advancing years. We also have experienced everything that this "boy" has experienced and so much more. Thanks for the "senior moment"!

we did do all that. it is a senior moment. that was a very good joke to tell my young neighbors.
