P V Sindhu outplays Yin Lim Fun at Badminton Asia Youth Under 19 Mixed Team Championships
India’s young and spirited shuttler P V Sindhu showed her impressive class when she gave a severe lesson to Malaysia’s Yin Fun Lim in Women’s Singles battle at the Badminton Asia Youth Under 19 Mixed Team Championships 2012 on Sunday, July 1, in Korea.
The talented Indian was one class above to her Malaysian rival as she played with confidence and easily registered a sensational victory over her without taking much time on court.
Sindhu showed her aggressive skills in the first game and took it quite easily. She was in complete control of rallies the second game and played attacking badminton to grab the set with a huge margin on the score board.
Yin Fun, in the meanwhile, could not do much against her in-form Indian rival. She played quivering badminton by making wrong selection of shots and also conceded many points by executing negative strokes. She lost this lopsided battle to her Indian rival
in just 30 minutes.
The confident Indian started her run in a dominating way in opening set as she played with impressive precision and took a convincing lead until the one-minute interval.
After the break, the in-form Indian continued her staggering run in the court as she did not let her Malaysian rival to make the score levelled at any stage in the game.
On the other hand, the Malaysian could not show her elite skills as she failed to match the pace of rallies and also lost her control over the bird.
Sindhu, in contrast, was focused in the game as she did not show any sign of respect for her rival on court and took the game with a stunning score of 21-15.
In the second game, the aggressive Indian continued her roller-coaster performance while playing positive and attacking badminton.
The perfectly placed shots of Sindhu troubled Yin Fun in the opening half of second game.
After the break, the Indian continued showing her positive and composed play and eventually took the set in a dominating manner with a superb 21-14 score on the board.
Sindhu emerged as the winner in this team-event battle against Yin Fun with a striking margin of 21-15 and 21-14.
