P45 needed?

Question

I need to give my new employer a p45, but my old employer sent it out to my old address(uni accomodation) who are being slower than slow in redirecting it. Can I request one from the inland revenue, and if yes how do I go about it?

i HAD YTHIS HAPPEN TO ME A FEW YEAR BACK... WHEN I CONTACTED I.R. THEY TOLD ME THAT MY PREVIOUS EMPLOUYER SHOULD POST ME ANOTHER ONE OUT.... GOOD LUCK
