I need some help with a problem concerning tax credits. I was made redundant in 2009 I had compensation of £3000 which I received in my final pay slip along with holiday pay owing which totalled £5251.11 gross £3538.16 net. I never received a P45 but I did get my P60 which showed my earnings for 2008-09 I started a new job within 3 weeks of being made redundant which paid a lot less than my previous employment so when I received my P60 form my new employer for year 2009-10 I informed the tax credit office of my change of circumstances and they adjusted my tax credits Now I have received a letter from the tax credit office stating that I should of included my final pay with my earnings from my new job and It may l reduce my tax credits what advice canyou give me ?
