P60....what do I do with it?

I recently got my P60 and want to claim back the tax (I am a student). I understand I need to ring the tax office, fill out forms etc, but a friend said I could take the P60 to my bank and they would cash it. She might have been wrong or I might have misunderstood. Does anyone know if this is correct??

No this isn't correct. Think about it - why would the bank do that for you free of charge?  You need to contact your local tax office - see link below.
