  1. Nothing, it's free, it's your number and they have to give it to you.

  2. Depending on your network it might be free.  I just transfered my number from "3" to Orange and didn't cost me a thing.

  3. PAC (Port Authorization Code) is most of the time free and you can easily get it from your carrier, just give them a call.

  4. A PAC code is free. They will not make you wait. The code is given straight away over the phone and the number transfer is done within 7 days. You will receive a date when it will happen and all you do is turn your phone off and on. There is no minimum term.

    Hope this helps

  5. Its free

by law they have to give it to you and also they have to offer it immediately verbally or text message if you ask for it rather than wait a week by post. (although Orange refuse to do so and only issue by post removing 1 week from its 4 week usefulness)

its valid only for 28 days from the day its created otherwise its cancelled and you have to re-apply.

  7. Free.

But they don't like giving it to you....

....they'll make you wait as long as possible.
