PART 2 - Is SATAN really all that bad?

This was my original question:

-- I've taken Bible study and couldn't find a thing in the Christian Bible that makes Satan seem all that evil. It seems his primary sins are in defying God but not maiming, killing etc. Am I missing something? --

Maybe I should rephrase this because I got a lot of answers that quote scripture, but none at all that gave example of satan DOING anything particularly evil. I am not asking whether Satan sinned against God - that is well documented. But calling him "The father of all lies" doesn't mean much when God gave us free will. So to clarify -- Is there any proof in the Bible (other than Job - which was God's will) that Satan himself has done any great harm to humans? PS - For the sake of this discussion the act of "temptation" is excluded. - that free will thing and all.

Can you imagine that a "real" human can be so bad, so evil?

Satan's work is to make people believe that they do it because they want to do it.....(The father of all lies)

That is Satan's job.....killing human.....cheating people.

Yeah, you're missing the 1st Commandment.

And in Hebrew, Satan means 'Adversary"

He makes rejection of God and His laws easy and alluring to people.

What's the story of the Garden mean?

God's Promise is always true.

Satan's suggestions will always leave us in the lurch.

Edit: Whether we take Satan to be a conscious entity or selfish carnal impulse, the result is the same. There's no authority over people to save them from responsibility of their own actions. Agreeing with the suggestiion is the failure. And if it was invented to make people mind themselves, its not working.

living in this world is solid proof enough. we got disease, we got murderers, we got rapists, we got unjustice systems, what more evidence do you need? when he tempted jesus on that mountain, Satan promised Jesus that if he were to worshipped Satan, satan would give him the world, everything. thats where the title "Fahter of lies" comes into place, becuase Satan never had the world, he doesnt own anybody. except the people who have already fallen.

he was pure evil! he tried to overthrow his creator, the very being who made HIM! he was kicked out of heaven and now he hates God sooooooooo much that he hates us. WE are the only way he can hurt God becuase he can't touch God himself.

Satan is an allegorical symbolic reference to mankind's natural carnal side of life.  There is nothing evil about this trait it is within all of us.  It is not a conscious deity or even a spirit it is simply mankind's mind.
