I'm in High School and I want to bowl in the Pro-Am, but I have heard that if I do this or any other adult bowling event, I am not eligable to bowl in High School anymore or even College, is this true?

  1. If I'm not mistaken, and the rules haven't changed, you are not allowed to bowl in ANY leagues but high school.  I had to quit mine when I was in the middle of the season to bowl in high school.

Oddly enough I don't understand is that most players who do play sports *specifically soccer and hockey* usually play in other leagues.

The affect on College, I don't think so, that sounds crazy.

  2. You definitely can bowl in any PBA pro am!  I have a son who is 15 years old, bowled a PBA pro am and still bowls with his high school team.  Only thing that disqualifies you from remaining a Jr. bowler is if you cash in the tournament and accept the monetary prize.

My son only accepted the Brunswick high performance bowling ball and bag as part of the registration fee, but nothing else because he wanted to stay in his Jr. bowling program until he reaches age 18.
