Hi, when I'm just doing anything on my PC, it randomly shuts down with this error:

"STOP: c000021a {Fatal System Error} The Windows SubSystem system process terminated unexpectedly with a status of 0xc0000005 (0x7c9106c3 0x0069ed04).

The system has been shut down."

Does anyone know how I can fix this error?

  3. Unfortunately those Generic XP errors really don't tell you much of anything.  It could be a number of things, Bad or outdated device drivers, memory issues.  An installed program not working correctly.

Try to pay attention to what you were doing when the error occurred, sometimes you can find a pattern and narrow it down to a specific program.

Start with your device drivers, make sure everything is up to date especially your video drivers, that's usually the number 1 suspect on these types of errors.

Check your system memory, open up the PC case and remove the memory then firmly put it back in.  If you have any external cards installed make sure those are firmly in place as well. You can also run a program called memtest which will check your memory for hardware issues.  www.memtest.org

Run a scandisk of your hard drive.  Double click my computer, then right click the C: drive and select properties.  Go to Tools and select "Check Now".

The problem could also be that your hard drive is starting to go bad.

There are a number of things that could cause that error, but these are a few of the common solutions you can try first.
