PC TV Tuner Card?

Can you put a splitter on cable box coaxil cable then with the spliter one is to the TV and the other to the computer and then hook it to a TV Tuner Card and use it as a DVR. Because it sounds like it only can do the over the air from an antenna...What Can It Do?

You can hook up your cable to a TV tuner card and record live TV with it.
