Question:

PC freezes deleting multiple files..?

Just got a clean install (Win XP PRO, SP2) updated it to SP3 after that I installed drivers, programs etc.. The system worked perfect (before this last install), no crashes, BOD or whatsoever. But after this last install the system suddenly started to freeze at random moments, I tried to reproduce the freeze and I found out when deleting multiple files I can (but it still seems to be a little random) get the PC to freeze. What can I do?

  1. Dont multiple delete then?

  2. 01. Go to Run on the start menu.

    02. Type msconfig.

    03. Go to the startup tab and clear checkboxes for any recently deleted programs. You can tell by the path.

    04. That should restart your computer.

    05. Hope that fixes the problem. When you delete files sometimes on older versions of windows, I have Vista, it still has programs loaded in startup.

  3. download a REGISTRY CLEANER.....it can fix errors on your pc and prevents your PC to freeze
