PC game won't install with less than 512 RAM, my computer only has 504. What to do?

I just bought a PC game (Political Machine 2008) that requires 512 RAM. My computer, for some reason, reads that I only have 504 RAM. I wouldn't mind playing the game with a little lag, but the game won't even install because I don't meet the RAM requirement.

Without actually installing more RAM, which I can't afford to do (it would cost more than the game!), is there a way to free up those 8 megs? Or is there a way to get m y computer to read that I have more RAM than I really do, or some other way to "trick" this game into letting me install it?

  1. You may have other tasks running at the same time using your RAM have a look at task manager.

  2. No there's no other way to install the game, your RAM is 512MB, but the other 8MB is shared as video memory, big games these days isn't let us install the game on PC that has no real video card and and RAM that below their minimum requirements.

I'm sorry but you have to upgrade more RAM and Video Card to install the game.

  3. sometimes plugging in two 4gb flash-drives will make the windows machine think you have more ram.

  4. the only way is to put more ram in. it reads that because some companies RAM is in reality slightly smaller or bigger I have 4GB installed and mine reads as 4.042 GB or 4042 mb. DDR2 and DDR are both relatively cheap and memory is easy to install. just make sure you buy the one that fits your computer.

  5. if you can reset the video in the bios you might be able to get the extra memory back but chnces are you'll need to physically add more memory besides its cheap (depending on what kind you need ) from 2 bux to 75 and you'll be able to run the program
