PCB aims high to revive international cricket at home– Cricket News Update
The Pakistan Cricket Board, which has been very eager recently to resume international cricket at home, is keen on inviting other international teams to http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Pakistan-c755 according to chairman Zaka Ashraf, following their valiant efforts of hosting Bangladesh next
month.
The chairman held extensive talks with the BCB and has also put forward a formal invitation to their Asian counterparts to come and contest in a limited over-series however, nothing has been confirmed yet – with PCB waiting on acceptance from the Bangladeshi
government officials.

BCB officials had visited Pakistan earlier this month and returned satisfied with the security arrangements. The 9-men BCB delegation was lead by the board’s President Mustafa Kamal.
Ashraf, however said that in case the Bangladesh government refuses to send their team, PCB has a plan B to pursue and are working on it at the same time.
“I don't want to disclose the names of the countries, but we are in touch with at least two (cricket) boards. If Bangladesh says no, we have a couple of other options too," said the president PCB.
Ashraf also acknowledged the support of International Cricket Council, which recently passed a Dispensation Policy. According to the policy, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/ICC-World-Cup-2011-c100625 can conduct a bilateral series at any unsafe venue while appointing the local match officials.
The 59-year-old has also disclosed that one of the options under consideration is to invite a World XI, if Bengali Tigers back out. Though there is nothing concrete at the moment, PCB is working carefully to ensure that they work out some common grounds
between other teams.
Pakistan has not hosted any international series since 2009, after the attack on the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/England-c56013 etc.
Hosting the series outside the country has not only deprived the local fans from this exciting game but also incurred extra cost. PCB therefore, is expected to host http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Australia-c746 in August at Sri Lanka, which remains a cost effective venue as compared to their
most preferred destination in recent time – UAE.
