Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has confirmed that they have started a dialogue with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), regarding Pakistan’s participation in the upcoming Champions League T20.
According to the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of PCB, Subhan Ahmed, they discussed things in detail during the annual meeting of the International Cricket Council (ICC) in http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Hong-Kong-c2919.
“We had a discussion with the BCCI on the sidelines of the International Cricket Council (ICC) meeting,” the COO expressed.
“Primarily we discussed playing a bilateral series with India. Once the ties revive, we’re confident we’ll be included in the Champions League.” Subhan added.
Earlier, the governing board of cricket in Pakistan was trying to convince BCCI to resume the cricket affair after the semi-final of the recent World Cup, which was played between India and Pakistan at Mohali.
However, India showed reluctance and refused to visit Pakistan due to uncertain security conditions in the country.
In the meantime, according to ICC’s Future Tour Programme (FTP), team Pakistan is supposed to visit http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750 to play a 5-match One Day International series and a 3-match Test series.
However, the schedule of the series will be finalised later, after the Indo-Pak governments give clearance.
Showing satisfaction over the outcome of the talks, Subhan said, “We’re satisfied with the outcome and will be discussing the ruling with the government. We will give its output to the ICC, which has understood our viewpoint and has given us two years to
implement the change.”
Earlier, the PCB put up a protest against the governing body of cricket in the world, when the board was asked to eliminate political interference.
Subhan Ahmed also admitted that the board wants to resume cricket in http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Pakistan-c755, but the current circumstances do not permit it. However, he seems confident about improvement in the situation till 2018, to organise the World Twenty20 Championship and appreciated
