Deteriorated security conditions have made Pakistan Cricket Board to consider holding its matches on the Chinese soil.
According to the sources at PCB, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Javed-Miandad-c66580, the former captain, coach, and currently the batting consultant of Pakistan’s cricket team presented a detailed report upon this alternate option before the authorities. In his report Miandad has insisted upon
considering http://www.senore.com/Cricket/China-c40996 as a neutral venue for organising international cricket matches.
“We should take immediate and solid steps to decide this issue soon before the time passes away,” stressed the former legendary batsman of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Pakistan-c755 cricket team, who is also serving as director at PCB and is country’s cricket ambassador to China.
The report presented by Miandad also stated that the future of cricket was rather bright in China, and Pakistan should help its neighbour and trustworthy friend in establishing the technical infrastructure for the promotion of sport among the Chinese youth.
He also suggested the board to send a coaching team, comprising of former cricket players, to train the youngsters over there.
Cricket is perhaps the single-most famous game in Pakistan, the day Pakistan is on the ground, it makes the entire nation stuck to their televisions and radios, literally leaving the roads and markets empty. However, unfortunately, the countrymen could not
have a chance to watch live cricket matches being played on their home grounds since http://www.senore.com/Cricket/March-c74391 2009.
Pakistan had to co-host the upcoming world cup along with http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Bangladesh-c747, however, after the incident of attack on the bus of Sri Lankan cricket team, amid the pressure from other teams, ICC decided to strip Pakistan’s right to host the
event.
Had this decision not been made, Pakistan had a chance to host as many as 14 matches along with one semi-final, but now, out of those 14 matches, 8 have been awarded to India, while Sri Lanka and Bangladesh will respectively hold 4 and 2 of the rest of 6
matches.
Although PCB lost its right to host world cup matches, ICC reached an agreement with Pakistan Cricket Board in which the PCB will get huge monetary compensation.
Considering all these issue with responsibility and for finding out the ways to deal with the problems, PCB has finally started thinking of using Chinese soil as the alternate neutral venue for organising its international matches.
