PCB likely to announce the list of players for the central contract soon – Cricket News Update
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has finalized the names of the 27 national cricketers, who are going to receive a central contract for a term of six months from January 1, 2012, to June 1, 2012.
The list of players is likely to be announced soon and there are no major surprises expected. However, out favour cricketers, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Kamran-Akmal-c70122 are likely to be ignored once again, whereas, out of form former captain, Shoaib
Malik may also fail to find a place in any of the three categories.
It is a touch surprising that veteran all-rounder http://www.senore.com/Cricket/ICC-World-Cup-2011-c100625 Cricket World Cup 2011.
Pakistan’s premier spin bowler, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Saeed-Ajmal-c87859 is likely to be given a promotion, as he will jump from Category B to Category A. The off-spinner has been in brilliant form for the Green Shirts since the past one year and on his day is a match-winner.
Category C will include the top performers from the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy 2011-12, the premier domestic competition in http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Pakistan-c755. Those first class crickets who make the cut, will receive Rs. 100,000 per month from the PCB.
Players in the top category will receive Rs. 250,000 per month, whereas, in Category B they players will be awarded Rs. 175,000 per month.
Category A (expected): Misbah ul Haq, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Abdur-Rehman-c41691.

Category B (expected): http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Mohammad-Junaid-Khan-c77037.

Category C (expected): Muhammad Talha, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Raza-Hasan-c84407
Pakistan team has been doing exceedingly well in international cricket since the last 14 months and the major reason behind the team’s success is the consistency in selection and perhaps this is the reason why the PCB is very reluctant to make any significant
changes in the list of central contracts being awarded to national cricketers.
