PCB likely to take a decision regarding the bowling coach tomorrow – Cricket News Update
The Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) committee to select a bowling coach is likely to make a decision soon and according to sources, the former Test fast bowlers, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Jalaluddin-c65364 are favourites for the job at the present moment.
The slot has been vacant since the resignation of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/United-Arab-Emirates-c3033 (UAE). Aaqib was involved with National Cricket Academy (NCA) since the last decade and till recently he was doing a brilliant job with the
young fast bowlers of the team.
Considering the performance of Aaqib, it is going to be a massive challenge for the new bowling coach to live up to expectations.
On the other hand, the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Pakistan-c755 team is currently not playing international cricket but the PCB is looking to start a conditioning camp for the players, which may start later this month. Apart from making sure that the players are fit and ready for international
cricket, one of the main purposes of the camp is to give a chance to http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Davenell-Frederick-Whatmore-c52571 to have a look at all the young cricketers who are doing well at the domestic level.
A source from the PCB confirmed the news and said, "A long training camp may be organised for the players."
This is a good time for the PCB to conduct the camp, as many players of the world are busy playing in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Due to political reasons, the Pakistani players are not playing in the cash-rich league. In such circumstances, it is a
good move by the PCB to make sure that the coach works on the weaknesses of the players.
While speaking about the expected players in the camp, the source from the board said that some of the senior players may go play county cricket in http://www.senore.com/Cricket/England-c56013 and the PCB will prefer youngsters for the camp.
“The decision will be made after the meeting. They'll check the availability of the players and also discuss whether to invite budding individuals to the camp or not,” he added.
