PCB not positive anymore regarding return of International Cricket to Pakistan
Pakistan’s hopes for the return of International cricket to the country have been shattered for the time being after Sri Lanka's refusal to tour Pakistan.
Pakistan cricket fans have been deprived of International cricket since the terror attack on the Sri Lankan team, back in http://www.senore.com/Cricket/March-c74391 of 2009.
However, Sri Lanka and Pakistan are considered friends at a political level and it reflects in the relationship of both the cricket boards as well.
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) was hopeful that they will convince the Sri Lankan cricket officials to send their team to Pakistan in a bid to set an example for the other international teams and to prove that Pakistan is a secure country for sports.
Things were looking very bright at one stage, however, the sequence of events including Osama Bin Laden’s killing and the terror attack on the Mehran Naval base in Karachi, has forced the Islanders to say no to PCB.

The PCB official admitted that the situation has changed since the start of this month and PCB has given up on the hope of playing Sri Lanka in Pakistan this year. Now PCB is deciding whether they will play the series in Sri Lanka or at a neutral venue like Abu Dhabi or Dubai.
“But that has changed in the last few weeks. This only meant fresh concerns for other boards about sending their teams to Pakistan. We are now looking at both options for the Sri Lankan series.
