PCB rejects series against Bangladesh
The PCB has rejected the series against Bangladesh  citing security reasons. The relations between the two boards have not been very good in the recent years and the rejection of the series by the PCB is a proof of that.
This is the second time that PCB has rejected any offer from the Bangladesh iboard. The Pakistan cricket team has complained about not being given much matches in recent times but whenever they have had the opportunity against
Bangladesh, they have been denied it.
It was the Bangladesh board which refused to host the Pakistan series two years ago following some security concerns. The two teams were scheduled to play five ODIs and two T20 internationals in http://www.senore.com/Cricket/March-c74391 2009.
The Bangladesh cricket board said that the government didn’t give clearance for the series to go on and it had to cancel it on that basis. The series was scheduled to play just after the Sri Lankan team was attacked by terrorists
in Lahore. The PCB felt that it was let down by Bangladesh which should have stood up in support of the troubled board at that time.
Matters turned from bad to worse when Bangladesh didn’t support the PCB when the ICC took the World Cup matches away from Pakistan. http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Mumbai-c820 attacks and they also did not
support the PCB.
After the attack on the Sri Lankan team, no team has toured Pakistan for any international cricket series. The only team that showed interest in touring the troubled country was Zimbabwe but the government did not give clearance
because of security concerns in the Islamic month of Muharram.
The boards will now look to schedule a series in 2011 after looking at the available options. Zimbabwe is currently on a tour of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Bangladesh-c747 and the two teams will play the final match tomorrow.
It will be good signs for Pakistan if Zimbabwe tours the country and play a series without any issues. Things can only get better if some team makes the move to tour the country. http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Zimbabwe-c3045 has also faced some security issues and
teams have declined from touring.
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/New-Zealand-c754 and that will be the last series for the team before the 2011 World Cup.
