PCB takes another u-turn, as Sohail Tanvir returns
The http://www.senore.com/Cricket/New-Zealand-c754 tour because of fitness problems, has been added to the team once again.
Tanvir's inclusion comes after some impressive performances by the left-arm seamer in the 2010-11 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy Division One tournament. The medical team of the PCB has also given Tanvir the all clear to return to international cricket. In a statement
issued to the media, a PCB spokesperson said, “The medical panel has reevaluated his fitness and cleared him fit for the (New Zealand) tour”. Other than that, the PCB has also taken the opinion of the Australian doctor who operated Sohail Tanvir’s knee.
Sohail Tanvir picked up nine wickets against Sui Gas in the ninth round of Pakistan’s premier First-class event. He backed up that performance with a six wicket haul in the first innings against PIA in the next round. Quite ironically, these performances
came right after he was adjudged unfit to take part in the New Zealand tour. This speaks volumes about the quality of the PCB’s selection committee at the moment.
Sohail Tanvir burst onto the international scene at the inaugural International Cricket Council (ICC) Twenty20 World Cup 2007 in http://www.senore.com/Cricket/South-Africa-c757. He then became an integral part of Pakistan’s limited overs setup, before getting injured. He got the attention
of cricket pundits because of his extra-ordinary bowling action, as he delivers the bowl on the wrong foot, which makes it very difficult for the batsmen to line him up. However his unusual action has troubled some of the games greats like Jacques Kallis and

Pakistani fans will be hoping that Sohail Tanvir can create an impression on the New Zealand tour, as Pakistan is desperately missing quality in the pace bowling department after the suspension of Muhammad Aamir and Muhammad Asif. Sohail Tanvir adds balance
to the side because of his abilities with the bat.
