PCB to discourage individuals from socialising during the Indian tour – Cricket News Update
While the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750 to resume bilateral ties, officials in the board have revealed that the players would be instructed not to socialize during the hectic tour that includes two T20s and three ODIs.
Talking on the matter, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Nadeem-Sarwar-c78422, the PCB's general manager, media, said, “We would discourage individuals from socialising because it's going to be a very busy tour - five matches in 14 days. It's not like there's a ban or a restrictive list [of activities] on the tour, because there is very little time for socialising."
He further clarrified that Pakistan was not concerned about the safety of their players and would expect the host nation to arrange top-notch safety parameters for the visitors.
"What we expect is fool-proof security for our players, and we expect that the capability that these cities have will provide that," he added.
India and Pakistan will be resuming their bilateral ties after they were suspended in 2008 when http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Mumbai-c820 came under the attack of terrorists, believed to have been backed by Pakistan based anti-India groups.
While the governments are working together on that front, it was the general belief by many that cricket should continue to be played between the two arch rivals.
Pakistan are currently not their very best against the Indians as they have tasted bitter defeats in their recent outings that included two ODIs in the Asia Cup, the semi-final of the 2011 World Cup and a World T20 group match in September.
Apart from their relations with India, Pakistan is also facing immense difficulty in convincing foreign teams to visit due to the depleted law and order situation of the country.
Pakistan has failed to attract a big cricketing nation since the 2009 terror attacks on the Sri Lankan team, which was intercepted by terrorists on their way to the Gaddafi Stadium. No Sri Lankan lives were lost in the attack, however, the series between Pakistan and http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sri-Lanka-c758 was immediately called off as the Lankans were flown back to their country.
