PCB vows to take up Warne’s prediction issue to the ICC
The http://www.senore.com/Cricket/England-c56013 tie to the International Cricket Council (ICC) in a bid to prove that leveling the spot-fixing allegations
only against Pakistan is not fair, the other cricketing nations are also involved in such nefarious practices.
Spot-fixing seems to be in vogue during the ongoing World Cup as Pakistan-Sri Lanka and Australia-Zimbabwe matches are also taken in this regard.
Talking to the media, the PCB Chief http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Ijaz-Butt-c64128 said, “Does not it sound strange that he should predict it would be a tie. At the next meeting of the ICC board, we would certainly like this issue to be discussed”.
After the eruption of the issue, some former Pakistani players also expressed their concerns about the match, which most consider, was fixed. The retired cricketer like http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sarfraz-Nawaz-Malik-c88831 came up with a view that the matter must have been investigated by the
ICC anti-corruption tribunal and Warne be punished for his irresponsible prediction.
Pakistan’s response on the tie tweet is more intense as its three cricketers, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Salman-Butt-c2418, Muhammad Asif and Muhammad Amir, have been banned by the ICC for their alleged involvement in the spot-fixing last year. The trio being the key of the team, its banning
is an irreplaceable loss for the Pakistani squad playing the World Cup.
The PCB wants to prove that ‘bad name is not worse that bad deeds’ and awake the world to the biggest ever practice of match-fixing. Most of the board officials as well as Pakistanis are of the view that the ICC practices the bias treatment with Pakistan
and ignores the big cricketing nations who perpetrate corruption freely.
The 27 February match between India and England ended in tie after both sides’ tireless efforts to win over each other. India, batting first, consigned a handsome target of 338 to England that, chasing the target, reached 337 in 50 overs but could not win.
Before the start of the match, Warne found to be predicted that the match would be drawn. So most of the analysts and cricket experts argue that the prediction was not baseless and the match was fixed. Warne’s career is not immaculate. He has been also been
involved in match-fixing and spot-fixing before.
The India-England, match was the most thrilling and sensational competition of the tournament but its aftereffects have made all the taste sour.
In order to avoid the chaos, the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/ICC-World-Cup-2011-c100625 must investigate the issue neutrally and punish the offender if there is someone. Only this can help hampering such type of corrupt practices in the future.
