PCB will not prevent Shahid Afridi from playing in national T20 championship
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has declared that it will not stop the former skipper, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Dolphins-c781 in the tournament.
Since the former skipper has challenged his dismissal in court, the board hinted towards an out of court settlement when it asked Afridi to submit himself to the disciplinary hearing, offering to let him off with a fine.
However, Afridi denied any intent to settle the matter with the PCB, he is adamant to follow the legal course till the end.
A source of the PCB revealed today, “Since it is a domestic tournament and the matter between him and the board is now in court it is felt it is better he is allowed to captain the Karachi side in the event.”
He further elaborated, “Right now we don't see any problem in him playing in domestic cricket but we don't want to comment as the matter is in court.”
The Karachi City Cricket Association (KCCA) is still waiting on a written response by the PCB regarding Afridi’s eligibility.
