Hi i have a Dell dimension 2400 desktop and my connection is messed up. I'm pretty sure my Network adapter is responsible for it. Anyways i was doing some research about what to buy and i came across wireless network adapters. Could someone please educate me about them, as to how does it work with my Verizon DSL modem(I just dont know how reliable "wireless" could be)? and also do you think i should stick with my ethernet cable and get a PCI ethernet card or should i go for the PCI wireless card? appreciate the answers!!!

  1. If you have a Ethernet cable close by then you should go for the PCI Ethernet card because you will get 100% connection and no interferences while with a PCI wireless card, you don't need the cable but if there are any interferences close by, it could slow down your connection.

  2. i cant say it better than Sean, if you can go without wireless.. then do it.  Wireless is slower and harder to secure from intruders.
