Question:

PCMCIA GPS Globalsat BC-337

Hello, I know that most PC GPS units (including the one that comes with S&T) have a cable that connects to the PC. You can then suction cup the receiver to the windshield and the PC connects to GPS receiver via cable. Has anybody used one of the receivers that plugs right into the PCMCIA slot, e.g. Globalsat BC-337 with SiRF III.I thought this might be a cleaner solution because no cable is required. Has anybody used this? The only potential problem is the receiver is now right at the laptop usually on the passenger's seat (instead of at the windshield). I am wondering if the reception is good with the laptop on the seat? Thanks.
