My DR said it is fine to get pregnant. They are more HRT then steroids, I am replacing what my Adrenal Glands don't make. Every women that is in the Addison Association has all had healthy babies.

I have seen my Gyno & Endocrineologist before trying so they both know.

  1. i dont know about the gi diet helping concieve, but you should talk to your dr about the steriods...i have been told that your not supposed to be on steriods when you are pregnant cuz it can cause birth defects

edit- im sorry to hear about the needing steriods to live, but you really should think about the consequences that could come from exposing a fetus to steriods. just talk to your dr please.

  2. I have PCOS.  I did a low carb diet and lost about 2 stone and my husband lost 4 and I became pregnant.  I had not used protection for 10 years, wasn't actually trying but wasn't not trying if you see what I mean.

I was a proper chocoholic.  Craved sugar, cut it out almost completely and got pregnant.

My daughter is nearly 3.  I hardly had periods before and now they are regular.

    Good luck to you xx

  3. Just to say i have polycystic ovaries and a fibroid and have conceived and carried 3 children with no problems at all, good luck.

  4. I was also diagnosed with PCOS.( In 2006) I was told that in order to treat the PCOS and be able to concieve a baby, I needed change my diet and take a medication called METFORMIN. Metformin is a mediceine used to treat diabetes, but has proven beneficial for women with PCOS.
