PDA confusion?

Question

so far the only pda that seems to offer EDITABLE Excel and Word document access is the HTC Touch or higher.

does anyone know different?

I beleive it needs wm6 or higher to run mobile office. and it says it is compatible with ooffice 2007 but will work on documents from earlier versions.

any clarity you can offer would be appreciated.

WM5 touchscreen models for the most part can edit and create word and excel documents. WM6 or Office 6/6.1 can also do the same thing, however you can also edit newer office docx and excelx equivalent files.
