Question:

PE affects my grades? ?

Throughout my freshmen year, I had math after my PE class. Since PE is two hours on my block schedule, I am completely exhausted for math. I can not think at all in that class because I am so tired. Geometry was the only class I got a B in last year, with As in everything else. So, I believe PE is affecting my grades in other classes. What can I do about this?

  1. Talk to your counselor and ask for a schedule change. PE at the end of the day.

  2. do you have to have pe? if so, maybe you can change your class schedule around to where you have an elective or easier class after pe, or see if you can have pe at the end of the day. if not, make sure you drink plenty of water between classes...this will help you focus better.

    good luck! :)

  3. Talk to your guidance counselor and discuss that this is really and truly impacting your math academic grades. Explain to her that you are trying really hard in math but PE is very tiring for you and you just cant seem to concentrate in math class. I would suggest to her that maybe putting you in a physical education class last period during the end of the day would be best for you learning style. Putting PE before another class will just cause you to have bad grades in that other class that you switch to. This may be out of question for change and you may just have to cope with it and maybe explaining this issue to your gym teacher will help and maybe she/he can make class a little less tiring for the entire class or just you because you are having some individual issues. I hope this advice helps and just try to cope with it if none of the above work, I know it is hard but it is also hard for the schools to completely change your schedule because you are a little tired in mathematics class. Another tip is to be sure you drink lot's of water and clean your face up and wash all of that sweat off, this will cool your body temperature down and hydrate you. You may be able to convince your physical education teacher to let you out of class a little earlier so you have time to cool down and relax before you next class.
