  1. Im with Permanent TSB years...there great! have had no problems with them and there online service is great!

  2. I've just switched from Bank of Ireland to Halifax. I'm with Halifax a week and so far so good. I've had some trouble wiht my wages (my employer sent them to my old account!) and they've been very helpful. Also they're open on Saturday which is very handy if you work Monday-Friday 9-5 like most people! I also have a mortgage and another account with TSB and I never had problems, but never had to ask them to do much (it's just an account we use to pay the mortgage and house bills). At the time, 1 and a half year ago, they were the ones offering the best deal for a mortgage in our particular case. Bank of Ireland was ok but they don't pay much in interest and they're awfully slow to carry out any transaction. Also their online banking is primitive and they use way too much paper! Just recently they've started allowing the customer set up payments online, but you have to wait for them to send you a letter with a code to activate any payment/standing order/direct debit you want to set up... so what's the point of having online banking!
